Scope and content
The Teague House Collection consists of historical data, documents, and photographs assembled by Robert Gamble that focus on the Teague House in Montgomery, Alabama. Consisting of information about the home from 1823 until 1992, each folder in this collection represents a period in the history of the Teague House. This collection includes research regarding the Owens Period (1847-1853), Ware-Walker Period (1853-1884), Graham Period (1884-1889), Teague Period (1889-1955), and 1955-Present (1992). Throughout the collection Robert Gamble scattered assorted research notes, correspondence, and miscellaneous notes (on title, bibliography, etc.).
Appraisal, destruction and scheduling
The Montgomery County Archives’ mission statement notes that the MCA collects non-government records, as long as they pertain to the history of Montgomery County.
No future accruals to be expected.

This collection is organized into one series and two sub series:
Series I: Research Files
The research files in this collection consist of records and photographs related to architectural styles found in the south and family history related to the Teague House.
• Sub Series 1: Maps and Architectural Depictions
The architectural depictions in the collection consist of images focusing on elements of architectural design. The maps in the collection consist of Sanborn Insurance Maps of Montgomery, Alabama.
• Sub Series 2: Photographs
The photographs within the collection primarily consist of copies of original photographs. The photographs document the Teague House and members of the families associated with it.
