The Mary Ann Neeley collection is a collection of documents and photographs that focus on Montgomery and Montgomery County, Alabama. This collection largely contains photographs of streets in Montgomery before and during road paving projects in 1958. The collection also includes a wide and seemingly unrelated range of records related to local topics, including: documents pertaining to a murder case, real estate title opinions, and family history. The collection also includes maps and blueprints of the city and county of Montgomery. The collection also includes three 1920s year books (1921-1923) from Montgomery, Alabama’s Sidney Lanier High School.

This collection consists of eighty-two blueprints of various structures and developments in Montgomery and Montgomery County, Alabama. The blueprints range in date from 1934 to 1988. They cover a wide range of buildings, including churches, hospitals, schools, community centers, libraries, jails, subdivisions, overpasses, right of way maps, public venues like arenas and stadiums, public housing, and more.

As part of its duties, the Montgomery County Records and Recording Department makes three back-ups of the contemporary records it records. The Department also scans and inputs into its records management system older and non-current records housed in the county archives. On-site microfilm, off-site microfilm, and on-site CDs, make up the three sets of back-ups. The records in this collection include: copies of Real Property Records, Corporate Records, Direct and Reverse Real Estate Indexes, Plats, Deeds, Property Records, Wills, Property Maps (with indexes), Condo Records, Marriage License Books, and other assorted records.

This collection consists of issues (printed on paper) of the “Montgomery Genealogical Society Quarterly,” an organizational pamphlet, books, and maps. The “Montgomery Genealogical Society Quarterly” issues range from 1994 to 2019. The range is not complete. However, it does have every issue published between summer 2008 and July 2014. The pamphlets provide a brief history of the Montgomery Genealogical Society, a list of society-produced publications for sale, a description of benefits of membership, as well as a form to apply for and instruction on how to join the Society. In February 2016, Montgomery Genealogical Society Member Terry Ingram donated a volume titled The Heritage of Montgomery County, Alabama. The book contains information about various subjects pertaining to Montgomery County. These subjects include: officers and participants of the Montgomery County Heritage group, as well as individuals who helped create the book; history of Montgomery County; communities and towns within Montgomery; historic buildings; businesses; medical; military; civil rights; churches; cemeteries; schools; organizations; arts- theater-events; professional people/public officials; public agencies/institutions; parks and recreation; sports; restaurants; sites, scenes and memories; family stories; tributes, memorials and business advertisements. Ruth Ott, also of the Montgomery Genealogical Society, in February 2016 donated a highway map of Montgomery County created in 2002. The map documents the location of several cemeteries within Montgomery County.
This collection consists of issues of the Gazette newspaper. The collection consists of Gazette issues printed on newspaper. The collection contains Gazette issues from 2004 to 2014. The collection does not have all issues published between 2004 and 2014.
The Dr. Thomas Duncan Collection consists of twelve photographs documenting Dr. Duncan’s farmhouse car club activities, family, and work on his farm in Fleta, Montgomery County, Alabama. These photographs span circa 1904-1912.
In the course of normal business the Montgomery County Archives (MCA) created correspondence, reports, institutional histories, and images. The Montgomery County Archives Collection materials date from 1994 to 2021. These materials record the founding, objectives, plans, and daily business of the archives. Furthermore, this collection also consists of publications that used records, including photographs, from the MCA.
This collection consists of “Montgomery Parents” magazines published between 2004 and 2008. Montgomery, Alabama-based publisher Proactive Publishing published the magazine.
