These materials were in the possession of the First United Methodist Church until 2018 when the church’s archivist Lyn Frazer transferred them to the Montgomery County Archives, where they are currently stored.
Immediate source of acquisition or transfer
The First United Methodist Church of Montgomery donated publications to the Montgomery County Archives in April 2018.

This collection consists of publications by the First United Methodist Church of Montgomery, Alabama, pertaining to the history of the organization, and architecture of the establishment, and the stories of its congregation.
Appraisal, destruction and scheduling
The Montgomery County Archives’ mission statement notes that the MCA collects non-government records, as long as they pertain to the history of Montgomery County.
Further accruals are not expected.
